PEOPLE WITHOUT BODIES (Epidemic Portraits) 2002 - 2008

A project exploring and investigating the idea of describing people without their physical bodies through drawings and paintings. Even without the body, I still use parts of the human body (bones & organs) along with other organic and non-organic objects to reflect my keen interpretations of how I experience and connect to a person's physical flesh, psyche, or to his/her own self reflection. Each person, except for a few, were effected by their bodily experience in one way or another, which symbolized for me a chronic affect to their essence as a human being - this is neither good nor bad, it is just a document capturing a moment in time of a person without their body.
